The Godhead is made up of the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. We must have some understanding of this mystery if we are to understand our own makeup. The Lord is asking us to give him our hearts. We can see and know Him if we turn to Him with our whole heart.
Jeremiah 24:7 says, "And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart."
