The bad news is you and I were born into this earth under the reign of death. (Romans 5:12)
You see in the beginning the reign of death started with just one man, Adam, and just like an infant born with AIDS or born addicted to drugs, we have inherited something that we didn't ask for. But death is a consequence of sin, not a directly accountable moral penalty upon us individually. Just like the infant born with AIDS who will eventually die through no moral fault of its own we are born into diseased body doomed to dissolution.
Yes that is the bad news, but not the only news because Adam, who got us into this, also points ahead to the One who will get us out of it.
You see, as soon as there was sin, there was a Saviour. (Romans 5:15)
Just as one person did it wrong and got us in all this trouble with sin and death, another person did it right and got us out of it. But more than just getting us out of trouble, he got us into life! One man said no to God and put many people in the wron; and one man said yes to God and put many in the right. Are you going to say yes to God? (Romans 5:18-19)
But sin doesn't have a chancein competiotin with the aggressive forgiveness we call grace. When its sin versus grace, grace win hands down. All sin can do is threaten us with death, and that's the end of it. Grace, because of Gos is putting everything together again through the Messaih, invites us into life - a life that goes on and on an on, world without end. And it is available for ALL (John 3:16)
The gift of grace empowers us to live soberly, righteously and godly in this presen tworld. But Satan is a liar and has been trying to hide this truth from us for thousand of years, because his only hope is to keep the universe in doubt of Gods goodness to keep Satan out of business. Brethren lets shu the dorr to al unrighteaousness and put Satan out of business!
Work hard for sin your whole life and your pension is death. For the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:22) But you see brethren Gods gift is real life, eternal life, delivered by Jesus, our Master.
I don't know about you but I want to be free from sin. I don't know about you I want to in God's Kingdom but to get there - I have to be changed. To get there I have to be no longer under the dominion of sin.Through Jesus Christ sins reign has ended for us but can anyone in the world tell by looking at us?
Revelation 22:17....and the Spirit and the bride say,Come. And isn't that what the Holy Spirit is saying to us today? Come. Let us rejoice in the fellowship that we share; let us encourage one another as we see the day of Jesus' return fast approaching; let us remember our covenant with the Lord and experience 'newness of life' in Him; and if anyone here has not been born of the water; then the bride-the church-says come. Prepare for baptism. Let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will let him takee the water of life freely.
Dead or alive. Dead to sin and alive to eternal life. God is calling us to make a change, make a commitment today.
